01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Atlas Runtime Labs ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of our software, including the Dynamis app and this website (collectively, the "Apps"). By downloading, installing, or using the Apps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.

02License to use the apps

The Apps are provided free of charge. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Apps on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Apps, or charge others for access to them.

03Your content & responsibilities

The Apps let you import and read your own files (such as EPUB and PDF books) and create data like highlights and notes. This content is yours.

• You are solely responsible for the files you import and for ensuring you have the legal right to use them.
• You must not use the Apps to store or distribute content that infringes the rights of others or violates any law.
• You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. Optional Google Drive sync stores data in your own account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

04Acceptable use

When using the Apps, you agree not to:

• Use the Apps for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Apps or any related systems;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Apps, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
• Use the Apps to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

05Third-party services & stores

The Apps may be distributed through, and use services provided by, third parties:

• Google Play: your download and use of the Apps via Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
• Google Drive: if you enable optional sync, your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for third-party services, and your relationship with those providers is governed by their own terms.

06Intellectual property

The Apps, including their design, code, branding, and the Atlas Runtime Labs and Dynamis names and logos, are owned by Atlas Runtime Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your own imported content and the data you create remain yours; we claim no ownership over them.

07Availability & changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Apps (or any feature, such as cloud sync) at any time, with or without notice. Because the Apps are local-first, core reading functionality is designed to keep working on your device even if optional online features change or are retired.

08Disclaimer of warranties

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved without loss. You use the Apps at your own risk.

09Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas Runtime Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Apps. Because the Apps are provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Apps shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Apps (which may be zero) or the minimum amount required by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10Termination

You may stop using the Apps at any time by uninstalling them. We may suspend or terminate the license granted under these Terms if you breach them. Upon termination, the rights granted to you here end, but the sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Atlas Runtime Labs is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Apps will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

12Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
